LHI Tip of the Week – Using Your Personal Dashboard

Live Healthy Iowa’s 10 Week Wellness Challenge kicks off Monday, January 28! We’re only a few days away and to make sure our participants know how to use their personal LHI dashboard, I wanted to walk you through it here.

When you log into your dashboard at www.livehealthyiowa.org, you will see multiple tabs and buttons that you can navigate through. Your current statistics are displayed here for a quick look at how you and your team are doing. By clicking “view messages” you can read and send messages to your teammates. The “edit profile” link will allow you up update your profile and change your password. By clicking on the blue “CREATE ACCESS CARD” button on the left below your profile photo, you can generate your personal Access Card and view special deals and discounts across the state. On the right you see “Live Healthy Badges Earned” which represent your progress throughout the challenge, such as when you log in for the first time, complete a goal, etc. By clicking the blue “LEADERBOARD” button on the right you can see how your team ranks against teams across the state or filter for your company or organization.

The ‘myProgress’ tab will take you to your personal recording page. You can choose which date you would like to record for and type any notes you would like to include. You will also be able to view other dates you have recorded for, which will appear at the bottom of the page once you begin recording. The leaderboard is also accessible on this page, by clicking the blue “LEADEARBOARD” button on the bottom right of the page.

The ‘myNutrition’ tab is a great tool to track your daily nutrition information. By clicking on the blue “CALCULATE CALORIES” button in the upper left of the page, you are able to calculate the suggested calories to consume based on your current weight, goal weight, gender, age, height, activity level and goal date. This page also provides additional information regarding your goal.

If you tend to eat certain food items often, you can mark them as a “favorite”. Choose “add favorites” and select the food item from your personal favorite’s list the next time you would like to add these foods. If you know the nutritional information for a specific item and want to add it quickly, you can choose “Quick Add” and enter the nutrition information manually.

There are many other great resources and tools on your Live Healthy Iowa personal dashboard to explore, such as fitness videos, recipes, health information and more! Take some time to get yourself acquainted with your dashboard, set your goals and message you teammates with words of encouragement.
