LHI Tip of the Week – Daily Affirmations

Subconscious thoughts are our core beliefs, fears, likes and dislikes. We have many subconscious thoughts which have developed throughout our entire lives. Unfortunately for many of us, we have negative thoughts about ourselves and don’t give our bodies and minds enough credit for what they do for us each and every day. The good news is that we can change the way we think, which in turn will change the way we feel and create a ripple effect toward all areas of our lives.

Affirmations are conscious positive statements a person makes of how they envision their self or a part of their life to be in the future. When these statements are made often they become subconscious thoughts, changing the flow of energy from your subconscious mind to your physical body. Try practicing affirmations each day and you will be surprised by the increase of positive energy you feel.

Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself; What are you proud of? What effects do or will your healthy choices have? What is the outlook of your day? By answering questions like these with a positive statement, or affirmation, you will begin to see your answers play out throughout your day.

Try affirmations such as the following and come up with your own! You will be amazed at the outcome they will have in your life.

“I am a strong and confident person.”

“I am healthy. I am open to change.”

“I am naturally healthy, energetic and filled with vitality.”

“I love myself, therefore I take loving care of my body.”

“I intend, in both mental and physical function, to improve everyday.”

Share your affirmations with your 10 Week Wellness Challenge teammates and remind them to practice their own daily affirmations! Send them a message on your dashboard and tell them what you admire about them to get them started.
