It is week 4 of Live Healthy Iowa’s 10 Week Wellness Challenge and we’re almost halfway through! You have been working so hard the past few weeks and we are so proud of the progress you have been making!
You ARE making progress toward your goals – even if your progress isn’t obvious to you. Look for your progress in how you feel, how your clothes are fitting, your positive attitude and your skin’s glow. These are all wonderful benefits of physical activity and healthy eating.
We all have bad days, but the most important thing to do is to pick yourself up and get right back on track. If you’re feeling down, make a cup of hot tea with lemon instead of reaching into the pantry, call and friend or teammate to chat or go for a walk outside. Overindulging in unhealthy habits will only set you back, making you work harder to accomplish your goals and leave you feeling lethargic and guilty.
Take some time this week to remind yourself why you decided to participate in this challenge. What do you want to accomplish? Why are your goals important to you? Are you still on track to accomplish your goals? What obstacles are you facing and how can you overcome them?
Remember, the difference between who you are and who you want to be, is what you do.
