LHI Tip of the Week – Group Fitness

So you thought you were just getting into a routine with your summer schedule and the activities are already winding down. Your family is gearing up for a new season, new sports, new after school activities all requiring a new routine. For goodness sake, if we stayed in one routine too long, we would get bored too easy, right? Why not mix things up right when you’ve gotten the hang of it? Gotta keep you on your toes!

With all of the focus on your kids, your husband or wife, work and your social life, I warn you, do not let your health or your sanity fall to the wayside! This is the perfect time to schedule some TLC for yourself into your new fall routine and group fitness classes are a great way to plan time for exercise. Group fitness classes include all of the elements you Fitball_Group_Fitness_Classneed for wellness success; an instructor to lead you, a group to hold you accountable and a regularly scheduled time. Many gyms and fitness facilities are rolling out new fall schedules now and often times there are a variety of classes offered free with your membership. The beginning of the season is a great time to try a few classes out, find out what classes you like best and what times work best with your family’s schedule. Plan to attend your group fitness class like you would any other meeting and don’t miss it!

You can usually find your fitness facility’s group fitness schedule at their location or on their website. Check it out now and go try some classes!
