One of the most important aspects of changing your lifestyle is having a support system while making the change. You are what you surround yourself with and we want you to be successful in not only this 10 Week Wellness Challenge but also after it ends.
To have support from your teammates, whether it’s family, friends or coworkers, will enable you to work towards your goal. Your team is on the same journey as you – trying to improve your lifestyle and become healthier. Isn’t it always better when there are people in your corner?
We hope as a team you have come together at least once to begin this process together. The next two steps go hand-in-hand when it comes to getting the maximum benefits from the 10 Week Wellness Challenge. Stay together as a team, keep each other accountable when recording minutes, weight loss and/or nutrition habits throughout the challenge. Work together and push your teammates to walk an extra five minutes or skip the pop during lunch.
Luckily your team support doesn’t stop at just your team name. There are thousands on the same journey as you, including the Live Healthy Iowa team! Living healthy is much easier than you think when you’re doing it with others. Don’t forget that your team is there for help and during your struggles. We know it’s not easy and we want you to feel comfortable with the changes made, so please let your team know if you’re having a hard time. If you want to celebrate a victory, let your team know! As a team we believe you are more powerful than you think.
What is just as helpful as support? Motivation! That’s the other piece of having a team. They are your own personal cheerleaders and motivators. On top of that, people that aren’t on your team but still in your life are just as able to support you and want you to succeed. Explain your goals and process to those people so everyone is on the same page!
Don’t forget about the other resources provided on your dashboard. By having your own personal support system by your side you will be able to accomplish more than you thought possible! Don’t rely on just yourself when you have so many options to utilize.
